Members of the GFWC Grundy Woman’s Club are back to work after their summer break.
Meeting at Buchanan First Presbyterian Church on September 9, 2019, the club was able to address several items of business and enjoyed a Leadership Presentation by the club’s First Vice President/Leadership Chairman Sandy Stiltner.
Among the business conducted on Monday, the club voted to approve a new design for Holidays in the Hills event shirts.
In regards to the club’s collection of dried out markers for the Crayola ColorCycle Program, several members volunteered to head up collections at the different schools in Buchanan County and report to Conservation Chairman Dr. Amanda Berrang.
In response to a request, the club made a $100 donation to the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office.
Additionally, the club voted to sponsor a Juniorette club in Council.
And if that wasn’t enough, two members, Donna Looney and Barbara Fleenor, are going to plan us a separate Christmas social for our gift exchange!
Lots on the horizon for the GFWC Grundy Woman’s Club!
If you’d like to join us, come out to our next meeting on Monday, Oct. 7 at Grundy Baptist Church, beginning at 6 p.m.
