Grundy Club Accepts Youth Writing Submissions

Last month, the GFWC Grundy Woman’s Club reached out to English teachers, principals and other educators within the Buchanan County Public School System, asking them to encourage their students to participate in a Youth Writing Contest.

Young Writers and Poets Encouraged to Participate

As a part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, our club has the unique opportunity to promote the stories and poetry of our county’s young writers. And since there is no charge (we’ll cover state entry fees for any submissions that advance from the regional level), there’s no reason not to participate.

Submission Deadline: December 31, 2018

For more information, read the 2018 Youth Writing Contest Letter we sent out to teachers, as well as the Creative Arts Waiver that must be included to participate. The contest is open to any Kindergarten through 12th grade student residing in Buchanan County. Don’t delay! The deadline is December 31, 2018.
