Annual Holidays in the Hills Slated Nov. 23
The Grundy Woman’s Club will host its annual Holidays in the Hills fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 23.
In its fourteenth year, the event will welcome holiday shoppers to Twin Valley Elementary-Middle School, where a wide array of vendors will be ready to offer up a slew of merchandise from rustic to elaborate.
Held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the event has featured handmade soaps and lotions, metalwork jewelry and knick knacks, embroidered clothing and accessories, cooking tools, wooden birdhouses, Christmas ornaments, holiday and country style decor, homemade pies and cakes, and much more.
The event is the largest fundraiser of the GFWC Grundy Woman’s Club, a community service organization whose members work to benefit the region and the world. The club is an affiliated member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs and its state counterpart, GFWC Virginia.
Vendors, who are interested in selling at the event, may contact Diane Lynch at holidaysinthehills@gmail.com for more information.
There will be a $35 fee to reserve one table with two chairs (provided by the club), as well as for additional tables. For instance, reservation of two tables would cost a vendor $70 total. Space for one clothing rack will also be $35. The fee will be waived for non-profit organizations; however, extra space will be $35. Those needing access to electricity should make sure to specify this on their application.
The fee includes entry for only the vendor, plus one assistant, per space.
Applicants may mail in their registration to Holidays in the Hills, P.O. Box 77, Grundy, VA 24614. The deadline to register is November 13.
